The mountain village of Gostilitsa offers fresh air, beautiful scenery in a most peaceful and quiet location
Gostilitsa is a mountain village is located in the breathtaking scenery of Dryanovski Balkan. The village is situated in a picturesque valley near Yantra River, 36 km. from Veliko Tarnovo, 15 km. from the town of Gabrovo. The area is rich in cultural and historical monuments. 2 km. south of the village there are interesting ruins of an old Roman fortress. The area offers opportunities for practicing sports such as hunting and fishing, and nature walks.
The village has a town hall, shop, church, community center with a folk band and several guest houses. This function primary school, medical care is covered by a general practitioner. There is a regular bus service to Drianovo and neighboring settlements.
Gostilitsa village has historical records of almost two thousand years ago. And in the region are traced one of the first people who settled Europe.
